1) Part of the Wristcutters: A Love Story movie poster—thick red line and a few hearts, over my wrist
2) “tremble for my beloved” Yes, from the Collective Soul song. I don’t actually like this song at all. But the phrase seems so beautiful to me in an odd way.
3) Outline of the US with the Air Force wings in the middle, with one of the wings upside down. For a) my friend who’s enlisting in the air force and b) the miniseries Angels In America.
4) “colorblind” in rainbow letters, or in black and white. For the Counting Crows song, in part.
5) The matching tattoo I’m supposed to get with my platonic fiance (yeah, that will make no sense to you—that’s okay, I don’t care). It’s a star with “perfect love” in Gaelic.
6) “RECOVER” on my right thigh, over some old scars. Self explanatory but I’m also a fan of the band.
7) I would actually seriously consider getting a Dark Mark tattoo. This is a way inside joke, relating to some friends/their nicknames, whom are very dear to me.
8) A lily, probably on my left forearm. For one of the most precious girls in the world, my niece.
9) Finishing out my left ankle piece with a Cancer sign, a Pisces sign, the phrase “i will be with you” in Portuguese, and a set of yellow footprints off to the side. Long…but meaningful…story.
10) Alfred Kinsey’s signature around my hip (wrapping around the side). Because A) I love Kinsey, he was an interesting creature despite being a mite sexist and B) as a dig at someone who got Marilyn Monroe’s signature tatted on her.
